Volatility is my favorite phase of the Science/Industry Life Cycle Wave. In this phase of the wave, the science is gaining traction in the industry, but the short comings and limitations are appearing and must be overcome. The chart illustrates Volatility with an endless number of micro peaks and valleys. One day it’s progress, and the next day it’s problems. I’m not sure why I like this phase; it’s challenging, hard to navigate and exhausting. However, this phase creates the knowledge and is the foundation for continued success through the Science/Industry Life Cycle Wave……
